Process of Writing: nothing to say

So I’ve talked about writer’s block before, and this is not meant to be a rehash. It’s more of an “it seems to be working” kind of thing. I think I mentioned how I’d learned that I should write even when I feel like I have nothing to say.

The truth is, there’s always something to say…it’s just that I feel like it’s lame. It’s really tempting to want to create the most amazing version of your work right away. This week with Marianna, I’ve come up against that…and won! The truth is, that no writing is wasted. And especially on digital, if I don’t like it I can just delete it and start over with no paper wasted. Even better, if I don’t like the way the idea turned out, I can see a way to do it better so no idea is wasted either.

So this next week it will be my goal to keep with the new mindset of writing even when it feels lame because it really is nunca por nada.
